In 1986, leading air pollution control manufacturer United Air Specialists, Inc. (UAS) became the master North American distributor for Kleentek electrostatic oil conditioning systems. Today, UAS manufactures Kleentek units at its corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, OH, and distributes units in Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The Kleentek electrostatic oil conditioner was designed by Kleentek Industrial Company Ltd., of Tokyo, Japan. Former managing director and expert in the lubrication industry, Dr. Akira Sasaki, was one of the notable system creators. Kleentek filtration systems are based on an innovative design which allows electrostatic cleaning of liquids, such as lubricating oils and hydraulic fluids, thereby increasing productivity and maximizing equipment life.
